There's been a lot of discussions, debates and disagreements around the topic of AFRICAN AMERICAN REPARATIONS. Some are ALL for it and Some are TOTALLY against it. While some don't know how they feel about it.
There are also plenty of looming questions about the issue that still needs to be addressed like:
Will reparations only be monetary? If so, who will get paid? Who is actually responsible for paying? And how much will the final price tag be?
Yes, the list of questions is long, and there are plenty of details about reparations that are not known nor set in stone. However, there is one thing that is for certain - REPARATIONS ARE OWED to millions of African descendants in America - and the clock is ticking! IT'S TIME TO PAY UP! #ItsReparationsTime
"I can only speak for myself when I say it's not so much that I "believe" African Americans are entitled to reparations. It's more so, that I "know" they are "owed" Reparations. Look, I have dedicated countless hours of my life to the study of American, and more specifically, Black American history, so I know about the MASSIVE WEALTH, LAND, AND PROPERTY that was amassed off the ingenuity and slave labor of BLACK PEOPLE. I know about the Social Welfare and Policing policies and practices that have destroyed black families and removed black men out of black homes by the millions if not billions. I know about the physical breeding and psychological breaking of black people. And as a black woman, I can feel on a cellular level the BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS, TRAUMA AND TORTURE that the FOREMOTHERS AND FOREFATHERS of African Americans endured as their bodies were violated and children were stripped away from them - never to be seen again! And more often than not, this was all perpetuated at the behest or with the support of the American government. SO, NO, IT'S DEFINITELY NOT AN ENTITLEMENT. IT'S A VAST DEBT THAT CAN NEVER BE FULLY REPAID, BUT IT IS OWED BASED UPON INDISPUTABLE AND DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE. AND THAT'S A DIFFERENT THING ALTOGETHER."

"I think I like the term "Reparative Justice". I've heard it defined as a way of thinking about justice that "centers" around those who have been harmed, and focuses on repairing past harms, stopping present harm, and preventing the reproduction of harm. Yeah, I think that's it. That says it all." #IamMarie Ya Jouf
